Yeh just a circular type fitting with a sponge in it just prise it out with a small screwdriver and wash it in the sink, I'll try find a pic

Carbon canister was mucky


I wanted to try reverse bleeding the slave cylinder.
You can’t get a ring spanner in the space. So, I did some inventing.





I think it’s worked. Pedal now comes back nicely but I haven’t checked the bite point yet.
It was a cheap chainsaw spanner (I think). The hole inside was big enough to take the hose. I welded an old 11mm socket on the end, then drilled the socket end out to 10mm, so the hose fitted. Getting it all on the bleed nipple was fun!

The Audi front wing badges your looking for are nla but i've seen them somewhere for i think £50 new just can't think where atm. You can try second hand ones on ebay 8A0 853 621 or you could try Audi for the A4 B5 ones these were still available a couple years ago, they look identical except the rear fixing is different 8D0 853 621 B, just use sikaflex.

I also found the small trims for the front wings on Audi Tradition. A bit of a shock at e16.00 each! Order with Colsey. When they arrive I will get my boy to copy them on his 3D printer.

I’m still looking for a Gamma radio if anyone has one knocking about.

Fitted my coil conversion from Alex (Error404).
Top quality stuff he makes, as many have said before.
Very easy fit too!




Only issue I have is the coil pencils won’t stay down on the plug. Anyone had that problem?

Gave the intake pipe a quick re spray while it was off. Sssh, don’t tell the Mrs it’s drying by the fire.

Those look like a different flavour of coil and may be shorter than those that are normally recommended, as per the old style 1.8T coilpacks. Maybe someone can confirm?
The later versions are longer and those are what you need.

Oh dear. Buy in haste and all that. There are genuine VW AG, meant to be for 1.8/2.0 TSi engine. The length seems ok, just too much rubber sealing which is preventing them from seating properly without popping back out again. I did read on your original thread re the conversion that some coil packs need trimming. Perhaps I need to trim some of the rubber sealing rings a bit?

when I fitted to my 7a cover, I trimmed back all the rubber and fitted o-rings...
Trimming could help, but you need to measure if they will be the right (sufficiently long enough) length to fit properly when clipped to a plug to ensure you're not wasting your time...
